Bioeconomy: Sustainable Action to Fight Climate Change | Vienna, Austria

As part of the R20 Austrian World Summit on 28 and 29 May 2019 the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism is organizing a breakout session on the subject “Bioeconomy - Sustainable action to fight climate change”.

BBI JU Executive Director Philippe Mengal will participate and speak at this panel event. The session aims to highlight the potential of the bioeconomy to tackle global challenges such as climate change, and to present projects that make bio-based solutions already happen today. 

The central points of implementing bio-based solutions and concepts in order to achieve a sustainable economic system will be discussed. High-level decision-makers and international representatives from business, science as well as civil society are expected to attend.

The R20 Austrian World Summit with renowned guests such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and climate activist Greta Thunberg aims to include everyone and to inspire as many people as possible for the climate protection movement.
