National Info Day in Rome, Italy

On 14 May 2019 the Italian Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE), together with the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research and the Italian SRG chairman and  member, Prof. Fabio Fava - will host the National Info Day on the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) initiative and Call for proposals 2019 in Rome, Italy.

The event will be hosted by Sapienza, University of Rome, in the afternoon of May 14 (2:30-6:00p.m.). In the morning, at an event hosted by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, there will be the presentation of the revised version of the 2017 Italian strategy on bioeconomy and launch of a national inter-ministerial task force for the monitoring and boosting of its implementation.

Philippe Mengal, BBI Executive Director, will participate in the panel discussion "From Horizon 2020 to the future. Which challenges for the Bio-Based Industries?", moderated by Prof. Fabio Fava, Chair of the States Representatives Group of BBI JU.

Polyvios Hadjiyiangou, BBI JU Call Coordinator, will present the BBI JU initiative and its funding opportunities and evaluation methods, giving also some interesting tips about how to write a good proposal. During the roundtable session, private and public BBI JU actors will discuss about their experience in the BBI JU project and the factors that enable a proposal a winning project.

The Info Day will be also a good occasion for an interactive discussion among the Italian players in the bio-based sector aiming at promoting a successful Italian participation.
